The Electron Microscopic Observation of Trichophyton Ferrugineum

Abstract
Electron Microscopic observations of T. Ferrugineum showed electron dense, filamentous or granular layer of outer coating and thick cell wall consisting of outer electron lucid layer and inner electron dense granular, fibrillar layer. Plasma menbrane was seen as an electron dense limiting membrane which enveloped cytoplam. The surface of plasma membrane showed a fine saw toothed appearance. Cytoplasmic matrix consisted of a close aggregation of electron dense fine particles. Mitochondrias were abumdant and cristas.
Endoplasmic reticulum was showed granular or membraneous in structure, which was short and tubular like in periphery of cytoplasm. Septal granule appeared as homogenous, round or ovoidal electron dense body which was situated in contact with a septal pore. Vacuoles was various sized, ovoidal, and occasionally irregular in shape and filled with amonphous material. There were electron dense, granular glycogen inclusion body which were close aggregated in periphery¢¥ of cytoplasm. But there was no lipid inclusion.
The hyphae were one nucleated or binucleeted. nuclear membranes were double but nuclear pore was not found.
